Selection Process of Non Technical and Technical Posts:

The Ministry of Railways and Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts written exam to fill various Non Technical and Technical posts. The tests are designed according to the educational standards required for the post. For some categories, written test may be followed by interview and for others a skill test or psychological test may also be conducted as required by the posts Job profile. All questions are multiple-choice objective type.

More than one written test may be conducted (Preliminary and mains exam) if the number of applicants is large. Written test includes questions on Arithmetical Aptitude, General responsiveness, and General English. Questions on logical and analytical reasoning will also be included in the examination. English will be the only mode of instruction for the Technical Cadre exam.

General Knowledge:

The applicants going to appear for the various examinations or any entrance exam must be ready for the General Awareness questions to score well in their exam. Now days, every exam has a section of current affairs or General Awareness. To prepare well for this exam, candidates need to read current affairs magazines and news paper daily.

General English:

General English is an important part of any competitive exam to check the understanding of candidate’s in English language. To prepare well for this subject applicants have the [roper knowledge of In General English questions such as on the topic of: Grammar, Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Use of prepositions, idioms/phrases, Fill in the blanks etc. Applicants can take help from the internet or previous papers.

Mathematics:

General Intelligence:

General Intelligence paper based on keen thinking and the aptitude skills. This paper is set to test your skills. Physiological Test:

Hindi:

You need to have good command on Hindi. Prepare from 10th/12th class Hindi Syllabus.

RRB Non-Technical Exam Pattern:

  • There will be negative marking with a penalty of one third marks allotted to question for which wrong answers is marked by aspirants
  • For every correct answer, +1 mark will be rewarded.
  • For every incorrect answer, one-third mark will be deducted from the total score
